I worked with Jan at Kwasha Lipton for several years. She was a great team member and fun to work with. I will never forget how thoughtful she was and her “Jan” vanity plates. She will be missed.
RIP.

I can’t believe Jan is gone. I can only write my feelings in a simple manner. To me, Jan was always a straight forward warm person, always pleasant. In this past year I had a series of medical problems which left me feeling poorly. She took it upon herself to call me every day and just chat and try to make me feel better. It is hard to explain, she was just being pleasant and nice. I find it difficult to realize that she is gone. She would call and we would discuss this and that and she just made me feel better. I find it shocking that she was lost. Somehow I had thought that she was very sturdy and she would go through her medical treatment and come out just fine. It has been hard to sit down and write this to you, to tell you how sorry I am that she is no longer with you, with us. She was just always a pleasant and warm person. Please forgive me for my inadequate writing. I feel very bad at losing her.

Dear Betsy, Gordon and the Cousins Family,
It is with sadness that I send you my condolences on the loss of Jan. I know how heartbreaking it is to lose someone so young and much loved from your life. It brings into focus just how fragile our life and time is together. I know that there will be days ahead when grief will be your predominant emotion but as the grief subsides remember the joys and happy days that you spent with Jan. Celebrate her in your heart with a smile through your tears. May Jan rest in peace.

Such a beautiful photo of Jan. This is how I always remember seeing her. With that big beautiful smile on her face. Felt her absence at Jess's party. Sometimes hearing may she rest in peace isn't enough when they leave too soon and you wish she was still
with you, Pray that in time, the happy memories bring you comfort and peace.

Dear Betsy and family-Praying for the family at this truly difficult time. I know how hard it can be to move on but please know the Lord is with you and many family and friends are thinking of you.
Psalm 73;26 My flesh and my heart may fail but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
He will swallow up death forever; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from all faces, and the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for the LORD has spoken. It will be said on that day, “Behold, this is our God; we have waited for him, that he might save us. This is the LORD; we have waited for him; let us be glad and rejoice in his salvation.” Isaiah 25:8&9

Jan really enjoyed the little football pool our dance group ran each season. I always got a kick (pun intended) out of the enthusiasm she brought to the group each Sunday. She always had genuine well wishes and congratulations to others when they won. It was just so nice to see how she thoroughly enjoyed this fun little activity. She was just a sweet person who will be missed.

Even though I only met Jan one time, at Betsy's 60th birthday party, I enjoyed speaking with her. We watched the video that was put together for the party and she seemed to enjoy reminiscing so much! From the pictures and her comments on them I could see how much she enjoyed and loved her family. I am so sorry for your loss but I am sure Jan's memory will be kept alive through all of her loving family. May she rest in peace.

Thanks for sharing. As you know, we only got to meet Jan once when we came for a family visit with Vera. However, Joyce and I both commented on what a kind and gentle soul she seemed to be. We are so sorry for your loss.
