Obituary of Margaret Bennett Dalton
Dalton, Margaret “Peg” Bennett, age 76, of Edgewater, passed on Sunday March 29, 2020. Peg was 50-year resident of Edgewater. She was involved in many groups and organizations and was a staple on senior trips. Peg had an insatiable sense of adventure and an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. She loved reading, birding, traveling, hiking, exploring, shamanic drumming, chi gong, yoga and more. She was game for just about anything and had a special affinity for The Audobon Society and anything nature or animal related. Born in New York City she was predeceased by her loving parents Joseph and Margaret Bennett. She adored her children Margaret Dalton Zartman and her husband, David of Winter Springs, FL and Tara Dalton Skarimbas and her husband, Michael. She was a loving grandmother to Matthew Dalton and his fiance Annie Ashton, Joseph and Thomas Skarimbas and great-grandmother to Max Dalton. Peg was loved and revered by her siblings Christine Bowers of Asheville, Stephen Bennett and his wife Jan of Palm Coast and Michael Bennett of Long Valley. She was dearly loved by both the Skarimbas and Dalton families. She leaves behind many beloved in-laws, nieces and nephews and about a million treasured friends. She will be especially missed by her life-long friend and confidant, Joan Giannoti.
The family will plan a celebration of Peg’s life once current health restrictions are lifted.
