life is short. During that time we meet and interact with countless number of individuals. On occasion during our journey, we meet someone that is very special. Mrs. Martinez was that special person. She was sweet. Kind, and had a very big heart. Regretfully, she has passed on, but she will never be forgotton. Though she is resting in peace, she will continue to look over her beautiful family. We never met Emilia, but we know her well. We know of her grace, kindness, gentleness, and of her good heart, because we know her daughter Christina. It is said "the fruit does not fall far from the tree" and in knowing her daughter, we know God is welcoming a great soul. In Christina's description of her family, every child represents the best parts of Emilia. May this small blessing remind you of Emilia's love.

My heartfelt sympathy to the Martinez’s family. I had the pleasure and privilege of knowing Emilia all these years as my sister’s Migdalia’s dear mother in-law. I always remember Emilia for her beautiful smile and gentle spirit. She always reflected a quiet inner strength My mom Brunilda used to tell me how she and Emilia would sit at the kitchen table for many hours in NJ sharing their life stories and talking about their first love-their children and grandchildren. When my mom passed away, l found comfort in knowing that Emilia and Migdalia had a special bond. I know that Emilia is now in heaven continuing to share with love ones including my mom. God has brought back home one of his beloved. We were all blessed by Emilia’s life. Love always God bless Awilda and Family

My heart felt sympathies go out to you Tio Jimmy and the family, especially to his wonderful kids my cousins Jimmy, Connie, Chris and Cheli. I share in your grief and moment of great sorrow. Titi Milla was a wonderful inspiration to me growing up with all the wisdom of a sage. She always knew how to set me straight, lovingly and thoughtfully. My fondest memories of her includes our sleep overs with my brother Nelson at the old Martinez place with all us kids running around getting into some sort of mischief. There was never a dull moment in that house. Fun stuff. I think she was the first aunt to spank me, (lol) well it was verbal reprimand. I thought how cool no spanking. I also remember how smart she could be not to mention those NY Times crossword puzzle she'd do. There were times I'd wish she was my mom. I settled for a great loving aunt! Forever always in my heart. So hang in there guys, be strong big Jimmy. You guys still have each other to take care of which is a testimony of Titi Milla in itself. To live life at it's fullest. I didn't have the honor to meet Emilia. We all knew over the years about Chris' mother. Chris would share the love her mother displayed for her children, for her grandchildren for friends, and for her husband. The stories of how her mother reacted to the presence of grandchildren towards the end of her fragile life, were heart warming and reminiscent of my mother Rosa, who also had an impact in our lives and my grandkids. We know Emilia is in a better place, where people have no ailments and no struggles.
