Emilia was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico on July 28, 1930. Her mother passed away when she was a young child and her father brought her, her sisters and brother to New York City where they grew up. They lived most of their lives in Manhattan.

She was a wonderful conversationalist and a keen listener for all who came to her for guidance, comfort, and wisdom. She enjoyed board games and puzzles of all kinds and was a master crossword puzzle enthusiast and Scrabble player. She also loved animals and beautiful flower gardens.
Emilia is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Jaime Enrique, and her children, Jaime, Christina, Constance, Mercedes, her grandchildren, Jessie Alexandra, Sabrina Christina, Thomas Scott, Chloe Emilia, Chelsea, Emilio, great grandson, Niccolo James, her daughter in law Migdalia, her son in laws: Scott and Luis, and her beloved sisters Josefina Ramos and Mercedes Nazario, and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude for any memorial donations made to a favorite charity of their own choosing in Emilia’s name and memory.
